Focal person visits protective embankments of Indus River

Provincial Minister/Focal Person Downstream Kotri right bank Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi visited the protective embankments near Faqir Goth and Bhiryo Shidi village to assess the current situation. During the visit, Minister received a detailed briefing from the concerned officials regarding the water levels and strength of the embankments.

Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi said that the Sindh government is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and stability of the embankments, and that emergency response teams are fully prepared to deal with any potential flood situation. He directed officials to ensure round-the-clock monitoring of the embankments, the availability of essential machinery, required flood fighting materials, and staff presence to respond promptly to any emergency.

Executive Engineer Irrigation Khalid Nawaz Dahr and other officials accompanied the minister on this occasion. The provincial minister also met with local dignitaries and residents, listened to their concerns, and assured them of timely resolution of their issues.

He emphasized that there is no need to panic as the situation is currently under control. He assured the public that every possible step will be taken to protect their lives and property, and that they will not be left alone in difficult times.
