The University of Management and Technology (UMT) is advancing its mission to strengthen national institutions through education and research. Highlighting UMT’s partnership with Punjab Police for higher education and professional development, UMT President and former Provincial Minister, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, stated that capacity building of the Punjab Police is our responsibility, as only a skilled and educated police force can effectively ensure peace and stability in society.
Former Minister further highlighted that UMT is playing a pivotal role in enhancing the professional competencies of police officers, supporting their capacity building, and fostering modern research. He added that providing world-class education and training to the police force is the need of the hour, and UMT is fully committed to this mission.
Murad shared that Punjab Police officers are pursuing higher education at UMT with up to 90% scholarships, enabling them to gain expertise in global disciplines such as Modern Policing, Artificial Intelligence, Security and Strategic Studies and Information Technology.
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to UMT President Ibrahim Murad for providing these scholarships, acknowledging their pivotal role in enhancing the academic and professional standards of the police force.
UMT President reaffirmed that the institution will continue serving the nation through education and research, as an educated society is the foundation of national development and a brighter future.
