KP Governor receives Gandapur’s resignation letter

Peshawar: Governor Faisal Karim Kundi confirmed he received Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation letter on Saturday afternoon. The handwritten letter is dated October 11 and was submitted around 2:30 PM. Brigadier (retd) Musaddiq Abbasi, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption, personally delivered the resignation to the Governor House.

The Governor’s caretaker accepted the resignation and issued an official receipt confirming its delivery. This formal handover completes the initial step in processing the Chief Minister’s resignation. Faisal Karim said his legal team will now carefully review the letter to verify all constitutional and legal requirements.

After reviewing the letter, officials will take the necessary legal steps to implement the resignation. The Governor emphasized that the decision will fully comply with constitutional procedures. This careful approach aims to maintain stability in the provincial government during the transition.

In the resignation letter, Ali Amin Gandapur confirmed he voluntarily stepped down as Chief Minister. He highlighted loyalty as the key reason behind his decision to resign from the post. The letter reflects Gandapur’s commitment to his political responsibilities and party decisions.
