Karachi road accidents claim three young bikers’ lives

Published on: October 15, 2025 9:33 AM

Three young motorcyclists lost their lives in Karachi road accidents on Tuesday, highlighting the growing danger on city roads. Police said the incidents involved heavy vehicles driven recklessly, leaving three dead and several injured. The victims were mostly teenagers commuting through busy industrial and residential areas.

In Korangi Industrial Area, a speeding coaster hit three boys near Memon Institute at Singer Chowrangi. The collision left all of them critically injured. They were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors pronounced 15-year-old Mudasar Faheem and 14-year-old Ayan Ashraf dead. Their friend, Rafay Khalid, 16, was admitted for treatment and remains in critical condition.

Police confirmed that the coaster driver, identified as Shahid Sattar, was arrested, and the vehicle was impounded. Authorities said initial investigations suggest reckless driving as the main cause of the crash. Locals demanded stricter enforcement of traffic laws in the industrial zone, where such accidents have become frequent.

In another Karachi road accident, a 22-year-old man, Habib Jamil, was killed on Mauripur Road when a trailer overtook and hit his bike. The trailer driver fled the scene before police arrived. Habib was rushed to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

A third incident occurred off Superhighway, where another young man was fatally injured in a hit-and-run case. He was shifted to Jinnah Hospital but died during treatment. Police have vowed to launch operations against reckless heavy vehicle drivers to prevent further Karachi road accidents and protect citizens from growing road violence.
