Trailers caused the most fatalities (62), followed by water tankers (37), dumpers (32), and buses (20). Authorities are calling for stricter traffic law enforcement and better road safety measures to prevent further loss of life.

Earlier, angry residents set seven dumpers ablaze on Rashid Minhas Road after a speeding truck killed a young woman, Mahnoor, and her 14-year-old brother, Ahmed Raza. Police and Rangers later brought the situation under control and arrested the driver.
