
VANCOUVER – Pakistan’s Ashab Irfan clinched the Richardson Wealth Men’s Vancouver Open 2025, securing his first-ever PSA World Tour title with an impressive straight-sets victory over England’s Sam Todd.
The 21-year-old, seeded fourth, delivered a commanding performance in the 43-minute final, defeating Todd — the sixth seed — 3-0 with scores of 11-9, 11-1, and 11-5. The Richardson Wealth Men’s Open 2025, a PSA World Tour Copper event, carried a total prize purse of $31,250.

The victory marks a major milestone in Ashab Irfan’s rapidly rising career. Alongside fellow Pakistani player Noor Zaman, Irfan has been making steady progress on the international squash circuit. While Irfan triumphed in the final, Zaman — seeded third — was narrowly defeated in the quarterfinals by Todd in a five-game thriller (2-3).
