
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department has initiated an inquiry into the poor performance of government schools in the annual 9th and 10th-grade examinations.
According to sources, school heads and teachers whose institutions recorded results below 40% will face disciplinary action. The department has summoned principals and staff to appear with complete academic records, while District Education Officers from Nowshera, Swabi, and Mardan have also been called in for questioning.

The inquiry aims to identify the causes behind the low pass rates and implement corrective measures to enhance educational quality across the province. The department has warned that strict action will be taken against those responsible for continued underperformance in the coming academic sessions.
