Poland’s deputy interior minister calls on Naqvi

Published on: October 25, 2025 11:45 PM

Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Friday met Poland’s Deputy Minister for Interior, Maciej Duszczyk, at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Poland Muhammad Sami also attended the meeting.

Welcoming the Polish dignitary, Minister Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties with Poland. The two sides discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including promotion of bilateral cooperation, border security, illegal immigration and mutual legal assistance.

Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation in various fields and to increase institutional linkages to further solidify relations at the governmental level.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi underscored that illegal immigration is a highly sensitive issue for Pakistan, adding that the government is carrying out a comprehensive crackdown against mafias involved in illegal migration.

“We are working to strengthen the Coast Guards to ensure the security of our maritime borders,” Naqvi emphasized.

Polish Deputy Interior Minister Maciej Duszczyk appreciated the steps taken by the Government of Pakistan to curb human trafficking and invited Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry to visit Poland.

“To effectively combat human trafficking, we must always stay one step ahead,” Duszczyk remarked, reaffirming Poland’s commitment to joint efforts in tackling migration-related challenges.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Secretary Interior Major General Noor Wali Khan and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
