Multan Sultans owner Ali Khan Tareen has sent a letter to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi with suggestions to strengthen the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He emphasized improving governance and transparency in the tournament. Tareen highlighted the need for reforms that enhance fairness and professional standards across all PSL operations.
In the letter, Tareen reaffirmed his franchise’s long-standing commitment to the league. He expressed concerns over ad hoc decision-making and limited administrative experience within the current system. He urged that franchise representation be included in PSL committees and working groups to ensure structured participation.

Tareen suggested that every role in the league be clearly defined, with candidates evaluated based on merit. He stressed that franchises should have input before hiring to maintain professional standards. The letter also recommended hiring qualified executives to manage operations, marketing, fan engagement, player affairs, and finances.
He proposed holding monthly meetings with pre-shared agendas and recorded minutes to improve transparency. Tareen highlighted that PSL should focus on attracting top regional talent and not rely solely on current or former PCB staff. He underlined the importance of organized collaboration among all stakeholders for the league’s global growth.
