115 tola gold recovered in Kohistan corruption case

Published on: October 29, 2025 1:09 AM

A major development has taken place in Kohistan corruption scandal as authorities recovered 115 tolas of gold from the house of Bilal Shah, an associate of the prime suspect of the maga corruption scam.

According to NAB (National Accountability Bureau) sources on Tuesday, the accused also owns a plot in Abbottabad worth Rs. 60 million.

In connection with the case, Police Sub-Inspector Naseeruddin has also been arrested.

Sources further informed that transactions worth Rs. 35 million were made into the accused’s bank accounts.

The money was allegedly transferred by the main suspect, Qaiser Iqbal, whose luxurious bungalow worth around Rs. 60 million has also been seized by NAB.

Investigators stated that Qaiser Iqbal had purchased the property under his brother’s name. It is noteworthy that a few days earlier, NAB had arrested Qaiser Iqbal’s wife and recovered gold and luxury vehicles valued at around Rs. 14 billion from their residence.

Despite these recoveries, NAB’s investigation into the Kohistan corruption scandal is still ongoing, the sources added.
