Serve the nation selflessly, Sindh Assembly speaker tells SMC participants

Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Syed Awais Qadir Shah, attended the certificate distribution ceremony of the 38th Senior Management Course (SMC) held at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Karachi, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem, followed by the screening of a short documentary highlighting NIPA’s services and training activities.

Director General NIPA, Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman, and Chief Instructor Javed Zia warmly welcomed the Chief Guest upon his arrival. In his remarks, Chief Instructor Javed Zia shed light on the objectives of the course and congratulated the officers for successfully completing their training. Director General Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman thanked the Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh for gracing the occasion and extended his felicitations to the participants, faculty, and administrative team on the successful completion of the 38th course.

Addressing the ceremony, Speaker Sindh Assembly Syed Awais Qadir Shah said, “Today, I am here not only as the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, but as someone who firmly believes in public service. The completion of the 38th Senior Management Course at NIPA Karachi is not merely a ceremony, it is a commitment that you are now ready to lead, to serve, and to strengthen governance. Pakistan today faces immense challenges such as economic turmoil, environmental crises, digital transformation, and rising public expectations. Therefore, modern governance is not merely about managing systems, it is about gaining public trust and delivering real impact.”

Addressing the officers, Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah added, “You are not just civil servants, you are the architects of policy making, guardians of public trust, and pillars of institutions. This training has refined your thought process and enhanced your vision.” Quoting the words of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah said, “With faith, unity, and discipline, serve selflessly, no goal is beyond your reach.”

At the conclusion of the event, Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah distributed certificates among officers from various federal and provincial departments, including Abdul Ahad Memon, Muhammad Mamoon Hameed Khan, Muhammad Yaqub, Lt. (R) Abid Ali, Mumtaz Ahmed Langove, Abdul Zaheer, Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Mumtaz Ali Thebo, Asadullah, Nasir Khan, Basit Hussain, Sadia Ali Akram, Bahleem Bilquees Jan, Dr. Samiullah Soomro, Dadlo Zuhrani, Shahid Inayat Malik, Dawood Khan, Shakeel Ahmed, Faisal Ahsan Peerzada, Syed Ahmed Fawad, Lt. (R) Ghulam Murtaza Tabassum, Syed Raza Haider, Imran Bhatti, Syed Muhammad Ali, Junaid Ahmed, Tariq Manzoor, Manzoor Ahmed Baloch, Zulfiqar Ali, and Muhammad Afzal.At the conclusion of the ceremony, Director General Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman presented a souvenir to Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah as a token of appreciation.The Speaker was then given a detailed tour of various departments of NIPA, where he reviewed facilities such as the modern library, cafeteria, and other sections established on modern lines.The ceremony concluded with Director General and Chief Instructor NIPA thanking Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah for his gracious presence and keen interest in NIPA’s activities.
