
ISLAMABAD – Senator Azam Swati has been acquitted in two cases related to his controversial tweets, a local court announced on Wednesday. The verdict was delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka at the District and Sessions Court Islamabad, where Swati was facing charges under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

After reviewing the evidence and arguments presented by both sides, the court ruled in favor of the senator, clearing him of all charges. Swati had been accused of posting content deemed objectionable under cybercrime laws, leading to multiple cases being registered against him. With this verdict, Azam Swati has been formally acquitted of both pending cases tied to his social media activity.
