Web series of Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly released on YouTube
KARACHI – The acclaimed Pakistani web series Dhoop Ki Deewar, written by Umera Ahmed and starring Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly, has officially been released on YouTube, drawing a strong response from fans.

Originally premiered in 2021 on the Indian streaming platform Zee5’s Zindagi channel, the web series is now available on Zindagi’s official YouTube channel. The first episode, uploaded on November 4, garnered thousands of views within just a few hours of release.

Set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan conflict and the 2019 Pulwama attack, the series portrays the emotional aftermath faced by families of soldiers from both sides. Ahad Raza Mir plays an Indian boy, while Sajal Aly portrays a Pakistani girl — both from military families connected by loss and grief.

Written by the celebrated novelist Umera Ahmed and directed by Haseeb Hasan, Dhoop Ki Deewar aims to promote peace and understanding amid the ongoing tensions between the two nations. The cast also includes Manzar Sehbai, Zaib Rehman, Samina Ahmed, Samia Mumtaz, Savera Nadeem, and Zara Tareen.

Though entirely filmed in Pakistan with a Pakistani creative team, the series faced controversy upon its initial release for being produced for an Indian platform. Its re-release on YouTube has reignited interest and debate among viewers, with many praising its storytelling and emotional depth.
