Quetta roads closed, internet suspended ahead of PTI rally
QUETTA: Authorities in Quetta have closed major roads and suspended mobile and internet services ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aeen Pakistan rally, citing heightened security concerns.

The district administration has imposed Section 144 across the province, banning public gatherings for a month. Despite these restrictions, PTI has insisted on holding the rally to demonstrate support for constitutional supremacy and democratic rights.

Road closures have caused significant disruption for residents, particularly students trying to reach schools and colleges. Main roads and intersections have become heavily congested, leaving commuters stranded for hours.

Security forces remain on high alert, closely monitoring the situation to maintain order. Authorities have urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated on official instructions until conditions stabilize.

PTI leadership has reiterated that administrative restrictions will not deter their plans, emphasizing the rally as a show of political determination in the face of government-imposed limits.
