LAHORE – Dr Nabiha Ali Khan recently addressed the controversy surrounding her extravagant wedding look, admitting that she had exaggerated the prices of her outfit and jewellery. The clinical psychologist and social media influencer had previously claimed her off-white ensemble, designed by Hina Salman, cost around 1.5 crore rupees, while her 35-kilo jewellery set was valued at roughly 2 crore rupees.
Following widespread criticism from fans and public figures, including Mishi Khan, Dr Nabiha clarified that the figures she mentioned were inaccurate. She explained, “I called lakhs as crores because I was nervous, and it was a slip of tongue. Anything I wear becomes worth crores in my mind. People need to stop obsessing over me.”

The controversy escalated during her Nikah ceremony, which was solemnised by Maulana Tariq Jamil. Videos of her husband, Haris Khokhar, taking photos and filming the event sparked online backlash, with some social media users criticizing his behaviour during the religious proceedings.
Dr Nabiha admitted that her expressions during the ceremony reflected her frustration over the incident. Despite her clarifications, the wedding continues to be widely discussed on social media, with fans debating both the slip of tongue regarding prices and the couple’s handling of the Nikah.
The discussion highlights the scrutiny public figures face over social media posts and personal celebrations, particularly when wealth and religious ceremonies intersect in the public eye.
