Punjab IG chairs meeting to review police service structure

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired an important meeting of Legal Inspectors at the Central Police Office Lahore. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, AIGs Discipline and Legal, along with other officers.

The meeting discussed in detail matters related to the seniority, service structure, and promotion of Legal Inspectors. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that in legal and judicial matters, legal officers are the backbone of Punjab Police, and their welfare and improvement of their service structure is a top priority for the department.

Dr. Usman Anwar held consultations on proposals regarding the formulation of a procedure for uniform promotion of Legal Inspectors and issued necessary directions. IG Punjab said that new posts of SPs and DSPs Legal will be created to further improve the legal structure of Punjab Police.
