UCH SHARIF – Three Motorway Police officers lost their lives on Monday in a tragic traffic accident on the M-5 near Uch Sharif, officials confirmed. The incident occurred when a passenger bus collided from the rear with a patrolling police mobile.

The deceased have been identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Mushtaq, Assistant Sub-Inspector Nasir Abbas, and Constable Usama. Rescue teams, including the Sector Commander and DSP, immediately arrived at the scene and are conducting relief and recovery operations. The Motorway Police said a detailed investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.

In a separate incident in Shujabad, Punjab, four people—including three brothers—died after a passenger bus collided with the motorcycles they were riding. Among the victims was 20-year-old Yasir, whose wedding had been scheduled for the following day. The group was returning home after shopping for his Mehndi ceremony.

Both accidents have once again raised concerns about road safety and adherence to traffic regulations across Pakistan. Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic rules to prevent further tragedies.
