Hamas rejects UN Gaza plan, warns of bias

Published on: November 18, 2025 3:35 PM

Hamas rejected the UN Security Council’s approval of a US-drafted Gaza resolution. The group said the plan violates Palestinian rights. It warned that the proposed international force could take sides in the conflict.

The resolution endorses US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan and allows an international force to operate inside the territory. Hamas argued that giving this force authority to disarm Palestinian resistance undermines its neutrality. The group stressed the measure effectively supports the Israeli occupation.

Hamas criticized the plan for attempting to impose an international trusteeship on Gaza. The group said Palestinians and resistance factions do not accept such control. It described the resolution as failing to meet the legitimate demands of the Palestinian people.

The UN resolution passed despite opposition from some countries. Hamas called it a dangerous step that could escalate tensions. It urged the international community to reconsider the measure before implementation.

Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to resist any foreign intervention in Gaza. The group warned that attempts to enforce the plan could make the international force a direct participant in the conflict. It emphasized the importance of protecting Palestinian sovereignty.
