Russia’s defence ministry said on Monday that its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 93 Ukrainian drones overnight. The strikes took place across four regions, including the border Belgorod region. Moscow reported that 45 drones were downed over Belgorod alone, with the rest over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
The ministry stated that the air defence operations successfully prevented any significant damage to Russian territory. Officials did not report any casualties from the drone attacks. The incident highlights ongoing tensions along the Russia–Ukraine border.
