Mufti Abdul Qavi claims Aishwarya Rai might send him a marriage proposal soon

Published on: November 26, 2025 12:48 AM

Pakistani religious scholar Mufti Abdul Qavi has once again stirred controversy after a video of him went viral on social media in which he claimed that Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai might send him a marriage proposal within the next few months. In the viral clip, Mufti Qavi said that tensions are reportedly rising between Aishwarya Rai and her husband Abhishek Bachchan. He claimed that if their separation takes place, “in two to four months Aishwarya Rai will send me a message for marriage.” When the host asked how marriage with a non-Muslim woman would be possible, Mufti Qavi compared the situation to Rakhi Sawant, who earlier claimed to have embraced Islam and adopted the name Fatima. He said he would first convert Aishwarya Rai to Islam and rename her Ayesha Rai. This is not the first time Mufti Qavi has made such statements. Earlier, he had publicly offered marriage to Bollywood personality Rakhi Sawant, who responded by saying that “tolerating Mufti Qavi is not easy and he is very different.”
