Farhan Saeed opens up on Tich Button shoot, praises co-stars

Published on: November 26, 2025 6:33 PM

What led film 'Tich Button' to become challenging for Farhan Saeed

Pakistani singer and actor Farhan Saeed recently shared candid insights about his experience working on the film Tich Button, discussing the challenges faced by the cast and crew.

Speaking on a podcast, Farhan revealed that despite the film’s potential, several factors made the project extremely demanding. “When you connect with a project, if you are not sincere with it or with the team, or if you have issues with it, it becomes unsuccessful,” he said. He noted that while co-star Iman Ali was fully committed, the casting overall was “wrong.”

Farhan admitted that unprofessional practices on set, including delays and tantrums, added to the difficulty. “When I sign a project, I give my hundred percent. These are old-school, 90s-style things, being late on set, throwing tantrums,” he explained. Despite these hurdles, he acknowledged the dedication of actors like Qavi Sahab, Gul-e-Rana, Sohail Sahab, Samia Mumtaz, and Raahila Agha.

The actor also praised Iman Ali for her professionalism, noting her efforts despite battling multiple sclerosis. He described the shoot as physically demanding, with scenes filmed in Nankana Sahib in freezing temperatures. “She was a star in her own right. She wanted PC-level protocols, which isn’t always possible,” he said.

Reflecting on the project, Farhan admitted he would avoid working with the same cast in the future, joking that the film “got Tiched” due to multiple production difficulties. Originally scheduled for a 2019 release, Tich Button faced repeated delays and eventually premiered in November 2022 to a mixed reception.
