Since its implementation, over 23,000 citizens have visited facilitation centers to address e-challans. The briefing highlighted that fewer than 200 citizens have contested their fines, while 90% of issued challans have been waived. Overall, approximately 4,000 challans have contributed to the collected fines, demonstrating the system’s effectiveness in improving compliance with traffic laws.
The next phase of the initiative will focus on tackling parking violations using advanced technology. Ground and aerial surveillance, including cameras, scanners, and drones mounted on traffic police vehicles, will automatically issue e-tickets to vehicles parked in no-parking zones. Divisional DIGs have submitted reports detailing the deployment of cameras across their districts.
IG Sindh noted that the e-challan system has been widely welcomed by the public, significantly reducing complaints about unnecessary delays and improving adherence to traffic regulations. He emphasized that the benefits of this modern technology will soon be extended to other cities in the province.

Under the new Motor Vehicle Act, facilitation centers will be established across all districts to support the cashless system. Authorities say the initiative represents a major step toward digitizing traffic management, enhancing transparency, and promoting responsible driving habits across Sindh.
