Pakistan pledges aid to Indonesia after floods

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto by phone. He expressed grief over the loss of lives in floods and landslides. Sharif assured full support and offered Pakistan’s assistance in relief and recovery efforts.

He emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to help in rehabilitation and reconstruction, noting both countries are similarly affected by climate change. Sharif stressed that Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with Indonesia during this crisis.

President Subianto thanked Sharif for the call and Pakistan’s offer of assistance. He welcomed support for ongoing relief operations.

The conversation highlighted cooperation between the two nations to provide timely aid and reduce human suffering from natural disasters. Pakistan reiterated its commitment to contribute resources and expertise where needed.

Officials from both countries said the call strengthens bilateral ties and reinforces mutual commitment to disaster management and humanitarian aid. They plan to coordinate further for effective support on the ground.
