Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar announced on Friday that the founder of PTI will no longer be allowed jail visits. No gatherings outside jails will be permitted either. The government aims to prevent misuse of such visits for political purposes or media interviews.
Speaking on a private TV program, Tarar accused the PTI founder of harming the country and attempting to push Pakistan toward default. He said letters had been sent to the IMF in this regard. He also blamed the party for the May 9 attacks on military installations, calling them unprecedented and dangerous.

The minister explained that jail superintendents reported political instructions being given during visits, violating regulations. As a result, all visits were immediately stopped. He warned that anyone attempting to disturb law and order outside jails would face strict legal action.
Tarar emphasized that prisoners’ meetings must follow legal protocols, and reiterated that the state’s authority will be fully enforced. He criticized those who tried to create controversy over minor incidents and called on PTI leaders to respect the law.

Finally, the minister said the government has closed the door on dialogue with PTI for now. He added that the party must apologize for irresponsible statements before any discussions can resume, and urged all PTI leaders to operate within Parliament.
