Freezing temperatures hit Balochistan hard

Published on: December 7, 2025 12:52 PM

A severe cold wave has tightened its grip over several districts of Balochistan as temperatures plunged below freezing, the latest weather advisory revealed. The Pakistan Meteorological Department issued a 24-hour forecast warning of dry and extremely cold conditions in northern areas.

Cloudy weather is likely in Quetta and surrounding north-western districts over the next day. Moreover, light rainfall and snowfall on nearby hills may occur in locations including Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah and Qila Saifullah, increasing the intensity of the cold spell.
