
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for Ashgabat on a two-day official visit to Turkmenistan, accepting an invitation from President Serdar Berdimuhamedow to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will participate in a forum commemorating the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025, the International Day of Neutrality, and Turkmenistan’s 30th neutrality anniversary.

The forum will also provide PM Shehbaz an opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with President Berdimuhamedow and other world leaders attending the high-profile event, focusing on regional cooperation and peace initiatives.
Accompanying the Prime Minister are Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Power Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi and Talha Barki.

Officials stated that discussions will cover trade, energy collaboration, and economic partnerships, while exploring avenues for long-term connectivity projects between Pakistan and Turkmenistan to enhance regional stability.
This official visit marks a significant step in deepening diplomatic ties, strengthening cooperation on energy, trade, and regional peace, while promoting Pakistan’s role in fostering Central Asian partnerships.
