Pakistan’s new romantic feature film Neelofar, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, continues its steady and successful run at cinemas across Pakistan, gaining notable momentum during weekend shows.

Presented by Distribution Club in the Pakistani market, the film has now surpassed Rs 8 crore at the box office, reflecting growing audience interest and sustained footfall nationwide.

Distinct from conventional commercial offerings, Neelofar has been widely appreciated for its sensitive narrative, refined storytelling, and strong production values. The lead pairing of Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan has once again resonated with audience, with critics and viewers alike acknowledging their nuanced performances and compelling on-screen chemistry.

With encouraging audience feedback and strengthening word-of-mouth, the film has found particular favor among family audiences. Cinema-goers have described the film as a gentle, emotionally engaging experience praised for its simplicity, warmth and clean, family-friendly appeal. Its calm pacing, subtle performances and soothing music have contributed to its widespread acceptance, offering a refreshing alternative to formula-driven content.

Sheikh Abid Rasheed, Executive Director at Distribution Club, termed Neelofar a gratifying project to co-produce and distribute in Pakistan. He noted that the film’s strong performance in major urban centers including Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad reflects a growing audience appetite for meaningful cinema. According to him, the film’s success sends a positive signal to filmmakers, encouraging the exploration of fresh ideas and emotionally driven storytelling to further strengthen Pakistan’s film industry.

The continued box office momentum of Neelofar reinforces the belief that audiences are ready to support quality, content-driven cinema, marking a promising direction for the future of Pakistani films.
