The victims were reported to be Rob Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele, 68. Rob Reiner was best known for his acting role on the 1970s CBS comedy All in the Family and for directing iconic films such as The Princess Bride, This Is Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally, Stand by Me, and A Few Good Men. Beyond his career in Hollywood, Reiner was a political activist who supported Democratic candidates and participated in campaigns critical of former President George W. Bush.
Michele Reiner, a former photographer, gained recognition for capturing the photograph of Donald Trump featured on the cover of his book Trump: The Art of the Deal. The couple had three children together. Rob Reiner, a New York native and son of late comedian Carl Reiner, was previously married to Penny Marshall.
