The deployment of drones and coordinated police action forced the bandits to flee, allowing authorities to safely rescue 11 passengers. Some of the rescued individuals sustained injuries and were immediately provided medical treatment, police added.

DIG Sukkur Faisal Abdullah Chachar said the Sukkur Range police are continuing operations against the gang in Ghotki. Several bandits were injured in an encounter during the operation, and search efforts are ongoing in the riverine areas, where dense fog and standing sugarcane crops are complicating the mission.
