HOLLYWOOD: Chris Evans is officially returning as Captain America in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, confirming long-standing fan speculation. The 44-year-old actor had previously suggested he was retired from the role following Avengers: Endgame, and his absence from early cast announcements fueled doubts about his comeback.

Entertainment Tonight reports that the first teaser trailer, currently playing in cinemas alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash, officially confirms Captain America return. The teaser picks up from the final scene of Endgame, showing Captain America living in the past with Peggy Carter and their child, before a text appears reading, “Captain America will return in Avengers: Doomsday.”
