Hemsworth admitted that as a child, he didn’t fully realize the challenges involved in pursuing an acting career. “There was no doubt that was what I was going to do. There was a naivety about the reality of how difficult that was going to be. But I guess it was sort of an escapism,” he said.

Today, the 42-year-old has achieved global stardom, playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans can look forward to his reprisal of the God of Thunder in Avengers: Doomsday, set for release in 2026, alongside co-stars Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr.

Apart from the Marvel franchise, Hemsworth is gearing up for the upcoming crime thriller Crime 101, directed by Bart Layton. The film stars Mark Ruffalo, Monica Barbaro, and Barry Keoghan and is scheduled for release on February 13, 2026.
