Naeema’s ramp walk at Bridal Couture Week draws backlash

Published on: December 24, 2025 1:49 AM

Pakistani actress Naima Butt has come under social media criticism following her ramp walk at Bridal Couture Week 2025.

Naima Butt has earned widespread recognition for her role as Rubab in the popular drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, where her performance was appreciated for its depth and intensity. She has also showcased her acting versatility through challenging roles and is set to appear in Shaan Shahid’s upcoming film Bullah.

The actress, known for her selective yet impactful work in the entertainment industry, participated as a celebrity showstopper at Bridal Couture Week.

At the fashion event, Naima Butt walked the ramp wearing a designer fusion saree. During her walk, she adopted a style inspired by her famous character Rubab, including expressive gestures and a raised finger, which immediately caught the attention of viewers.

Social media users felt that her ramp walk appeared dull and lacked the confidence and grace typically expected at such events. As videos from the show went viral, online criticism intensified. Several users questioned whether the actress was comfortable on the ramp, while others made humorous remarks comparing her walk to everyday situations. Some critics also commented that her walk appeared more masculine than elegant. While many social media users expressed disappointment, her fans defended her performance, stating that the walk reflected a character-driven approach rather than a conventional runway style.
