
Rawalpindi: Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir attended Christmas prayers at Christ Church on Thursday. He joined the Christian community in celebrating the occasion. The visit highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to religious harmony.
During the event, Field Marshal Asim Munir extended warm Christmas greetings to the congregation. He wished peace, harmony, and prosperity for the Christian community. The gathering reflected unity and mutual respect among citizens.
Referring to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he emphasized equality, freedom, and religious tolerance. He said protecting minority rights remains a core principle of Pakistan’s ideology. These values guide the nation’s constitutional framework.
Moreover, the army chief praised the contributions of Pakistani Christians to national development and security. He highlighted their distinguished service in the armed forces across generations. Their role, he said, remains a source of national pride.
