Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that spacious funeral prayer facilities, ablution areas, public toilets, adequate parking and ambulance services, along with CCTV surveillance facilities, be provided in the model graveyards. He further directed that a dedicated website and web portal be created for the model graveyard, allowing relatives especially overseas Pakistanis, to monitor the graves of their loved ones.

The CDA Board meeting decided to adopt the policies of OGRA and the government, along with their periodic amendments, regarding the establishment of LPG storage and filling plants in the Federal Capital, Islamabad.

The eighteenth CDA Board meeting also approved amendments related to promoting green infrastructure, rooftop/vertical gardening and landscaping within the Islamabad Building Regulations 2023. These amendments will help promote urban gardening in the Federal Capital and align constructions with contemporary needs and demands.

The eighteenth CDA Board meeting approved the establishment of CDA-owned fuel filling stations through public-private partnerships or joint ventures. This project will help create sustainable revenue streams for the authority.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that proposals should also be presented for improving the condition of the facades of old buildings, especially in the Blue Area of the Federal Capital. He said that these proposals should also consider offering special incentives to owners who beautify their building facades.

The meeting decided to hire the services of a consultant under PPRA Rule 42F for third-party validation of the project titled “Construction of Islamabad High Court, Islamabad.”
