Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif held meetings with prominent Pakistani and Emirati business figures during a private visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) , sources said on Tuesday.

During the visit, Nawaz Sharif was accompanied by his son-in-law Ali Dar. He was pictured meeting Naseer Lootah and his son Abdullah Lootah, chairman of Summit Bank, reflecting what sources described as longstanding personal and business ties between the Sharif family and influential regional businessmen.
As part of his stay in Dubai, the former prime minister also visited the residence of Sohail Galadari, owner of a local media group, to inquire about his health and convey best wishes for his recovery.
Sources said Nawaz Sharif and Ali Dar met several other delegates over the course of four days. The visit was described as private in nature, with no formal political engagements scheduled.
Ali Dar, who is also the eldest son of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, had lived mostly in London with Nawaz Sharif during the former premier’s last period of exile, which ended around three years ago. Since then, he has been dividing his time between Lahore and Dubai, where his younger brother Hasnain Dar has been running a business for nearly two decades.

Although no official political meetings were planned, the visit has drawn attention due to Nawaz Sharif’s continued relevance in Pakistan’s political landscape and his longstanding connections with influential figures in the Gulf region.
