Minister warns against delay in uplift projects

Published on: January 7, 2026 1:42 AM

The Sindh government will not tolerate any delay in development projects and will take all possible measures to safeguard public funds, as delays lead to additional expenditures. Therefore, all projects must be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

These views were expressed by Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Muhammad Ali Malakani while presiding over an important meeting regarding the Establishment of Rulers Growth Centre, Chuhar Jamali, district Sujawal, at his office on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sujawal Zahid Hussain Rind, the project director, and senior officials from the Roads Department, Public Health Engineering, and Planning and Development Department. The provincial minister obtained separate briefings from all concerned officers and reviewed all aspects of the project in detail.

On the occasion, Muhammad Ali Malakani directed that letters be written to the relevant provincial ministers regarding departments whose performance was found unsatisfactory. He stated that the government would not tolerate any wastage of public money and made it clear that officers unwilling to perform should step aside, as completing public welfare projects within the given timeframe is the government’s top priority.

He further said that projects not completed on time face delays and cost overruns, which are detrimental to the province’s economy. With the same funds, additional development projects could be initiated. The provincial minister instructed officers to work on the projects with dedication, honesty, and commitment.
