Chaos and drama return in Euphoria Season 3 trailer

Published on: January 15, 2026 3:00 PM

HBO’s hit teen drama Euphoria is set to return on April 12 with its third season, four years after the dramatic conclusion of Season 2. The season’s first trailer, released Wednesday, teases a mix of familiar faces and new characters navigating high-stakes situations, from weddings to vendettas.

Series creator Sam Levinson said the story takes place “a few years after high school” — five, to be exact — with the characters living very different adult lives. Rue, played by Zendaya, is now based in Mexico, reconnecting with her faith while attempting to pay off debts to drug kingpin Laurie, raising questions about her sobriety.

The #Euphoria Season 3 trailer is finally here and Rue is battling drug dealers, Cassie is a cam girl and Nate is not happy about it.

Nate (Jacob Elordi) and Cassie (Sidney Sweeney) are engaged, but tensions arise as Cassie creates adult content for social media while envying the seemingly glamorous lives of her former classmates. Levinson described this season as placing the characters “out of the safety net of high school,” offering a stark look at life beyond adolescence.

Jules (Hunter Schafer) will be attending art school and avoiding responsibility, Maddie (Alexa Demi) is working at a Hollywood talent agency, and Lexi (Maude Apatow) will be an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone, a nod to last season’s play within the show.

New cast members include Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Natasha Lyonne, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Sam Trammell, and Asante Blackk. However, Storm Reid, Barbie Ferreira, Austin Abrams, Javon Walton, and fan-favourite Fezco (Angus Cloud) will not be returning, with Cloud’s passing in July 2023 marking a permanent loss to the series.

With high drama, new dynamics, and adult stakes, Euphoria Season 3 promises to explore the turbulent transition from youth to adulthood while remaining true to the show’s raw and visually striking style.
