Pakistani scholar earns PhD in nanosciences from NTNU, Norway

Pakistani researcher Dr Muhammad Ibrahim has been awarded a PhD in nanosciences from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) following a successful thesis defence in Trondheim. His doctoral work, titled Silicon-Based Materials for Additive Manufacturing, explores advanced applications of nanomaterials with potential use in both industry and medicine.

Dr Ibrahim’s research introduces innovative methods to integrate nanotechnology into scalable and practical solutions, bridging the gap between experimental science and real-world applications. His work was evaluated by an international panel of experts, who commended the depth of his experimental studies and the practical implications of his findings.

Speaking after the defence, Dr Ibrahim described it as an honour to complete his academic journey at a prestigious institution like NTNU. He expressed hope that his research would contribute to technological development and innovation benefiting both Pakistan and the global scientific community.
