Kim Vo was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2018 and, according to his husband, fought the disease with remarkable resilience. “He fought valiantly, winning many battles along the way and exceeding all medical expectations,” Adeel wrote, adding that Kim remained hopeful and determined throughout his journey.

Beyond his professional achievements, Kim was admired for his warmth and generosity. “He had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, welcomed, and at home,” Adeel shared, noting that Kim was deeply loved by his family, friends, and the global hair community.

Adeel also revealed a message Kim left before his passing, in which he reflected on a life filled with love, happiness, and meaningful relationships. Kim expressed his wish to use his platform to help others and encouraged health awareness and vigilance.
