Mohsin Naqvi confirms Pakistan T20 world cup decision soon

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced that a final decision on the country’s participation in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be made either on Friday or next Monday. The announcement comes after high-level discussions with government officials.

The decision follows a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Naqvi, where matters related to security, logistics, and international cricket obligations were reportedly discussed. Officials are reportedly reviewing all factors before confirming Pakistan’s presence in the tournament.

Sources indicate that security concerns and travel arrangements are key points of consideration. PCB and government authorities are coordinating to ensure that any participation aligns with both player safety and diplomatic protocols for international sports events.

The T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be hosted in multiple countries, has generated significant anticipation among fans. Pakistan’s cricket followers are awaiting confirmation, as the national team’s presence is considered a major highlight for global tournament engagement.
