Pakistan exports boom As UAE opens doors

Published on: February 17, 2026 9:28 PM

Pakistani exports to the United Arab Emirates have recorded a strong surge of 22 percent over the past six months, crossing the one billion dollar mark, driven by improved diplomatic support and easier visa access for business communities. Moreover, this growth signals renewed confidence in bilateral trade relations between the two countries.

The developments were highlighted during a major networking event held alongside the World Health Expo 2026 in Dubai, where trade officials and exporters discussed strategies to expand Pakistan’s footprint in international markets. Consequently, the event served as a platform to strengthen commercial links and explore new export opportunities.

Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, assured traders that visa procedures are being streamlined through close coordination with the UAE Embassy in Islamabad and the UAE Consulate in Karachi. He added that genuine businesspersons can now access visas more quickly, enabling smoother participation in global exhibitions.

Meanwhile, Trade and Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan confirmed that the 22 percent export growth reflects rising demand for Pakistani products in the UAE market. Furthermore, he emphasized that consistent diplomatic engagement has played a critical role in reducing barriers for exporters and investors alike.

At the Dubai World Health Expo 2026, forty Pakistani companies showcased their products under a dedicated Pakistan Pavilion, competing alongside exhibitors from more than thirty countries. As a result, Pakistan gained significant visibility in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Overall, officials believe that continued support for exporters, combined with strong international exposure, can further accelerate Pakistan’s trade performance. Therefore, sustained diplomatic cooperation and business-friendly policies remain key to expanding Pakistan’s global economic presence.
