Queen Camilla enjoys heartwarming musical reunion at palace

Queen Camilla attended a special reception at St James’s Palace, hosted by The Amber Trust to celebrate the charity’s 30th anniversary and honour the organisation’s contributions to young musicians.

The evening featured inspiring performances from talented youngsters who have benefited from the charity’s support, allowing the Queen to witness firsthand how music has transformed their lives and opened new opportunities.

During the reception, Camilla engaged warmly with the performers and their families, listening attentively as they shared personal stories about their growth, achievements, and the pivotal role The Amber Trust played in their journeys.

A particularly touching moment occurred when pianist Derek Paravicini, the Queen’s nephew through her first marriage, performed a moving recital that drew heartfelt applause from the attendees and highlighted his extraordinary talent.

Following his performance, Derek approached Camilla, greeted her with “hello, aunt Camilla,” and shared a warm familial embrace, marking a personal and emotional highlight of the 30th-anniversary celebration.

The event underscored the importance of music in fostering community, nurturing young talent, and strengthening bonds between performers and patrons, while Queen Camilla’s presence added grace and warmth to the milestone occasion.
