The Mandalorian And Grogu - New Trailer | Star Wars, Pedro Pascal | May 22, 2026

Disney+’s upcoming The Mandalorian is set to hit cinemas with a new spin-off, The Mandalorian & Grogu, on May 22, and the recently released trailer has given fans an exciting glimpse of fresh adventures between the warrior Din Djarin and his beloved companion, Grogu.

The trailer shocked viewers by showing Pedro Pascal, who portrays Djarin, unmasked in certain scenes — a rare sight for a character usually concealed behind a metallic helmet. The cinematic release promises to expand on the lore established in the television series, combining high-stakes action with the emotional bonds familiar to fans.

Another highlight is the appearance of an alien voiced by filmmaker Martin Scorsese, whose involvement was previously unannounced. Scorsese’s voice work adds a unique cinematic layer, linking the film to his long-standing influence in Hollywood. Jon Favreau, creator of The Mandalorian, has prior experience acting in Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, underscoring a creative collaboration that crosses mediums.

Actress Sigourney Weaver makes her Star Wars debut in the trailer, delivering the line: “This isn’t about revenge. It’s about preventing another war,” highlighting the film’s thematic depth. Meanwhile, Jeremy Allen White lends his voice to Rotta the Hutt, the offspring of the iconic Jabba the Hutt, introducing a new generation of Star Wars characters.

The Mandalorian & Grogu marks the first cinematic Star Wars release since 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which received mixed reviews. According to IMDb, the film follows “once a lone bounty hunter, Mandalorian Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu [as they] embark on an exciting new Star Wars adventure,” promising fans both nostalgia and new storytelling.
