Farhan’s century guides Pakistan to 200 vs Namibia

Published on: February 18, 2026 4:17 PM

In the ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan set Namibia a target of 200 runs thanks to a brilliant century by Sahibzada Farhan.

Pakistan batted first, with Farhan anchoring the innings and remaining not out on 100 from 57 balls, hitting 4 sixes and 10 fours. Captain Salman Ali Agha scored 38 off 23 balls, while Shadab Khan added 36, helping Pakistan finish 199 for 3 in 20 overs.

The innings began with Farhan and Saem Ayub opening, but Ayub fell for 14 when the score was 40. Captain Salman Ali Agha fell soon after, and Khawaja Nafees managed 5 runs. Namibia struck early as Jack Brisell and Gerhard Erasmus took wickets, but Farhan’s innings dominated Pakistan’s score.

Pakistan made two changes to the playing XI, replacing Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed with Mirza Salman and Khawaja Nafees. Winning the toss, captain Salman Ali Agha opted to bat first to set a challenging target for Namibia.

The match is crucial for Pakistan to reach the Super 8 stage, as a win guarantees qualification. Even in case of a washout, Pakistan would advance, but a loss could allow the USA, with a better net run rate, to qualify instead.

Fans watched Farhan’s innings with excitement as he achieved his first T20 World Cup century. His performance provided Pakistan a strong platform to secure a vital win against Namibia in this must-win encounter.
