Published on: February 20, 2026 12:38 AM

Under the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resources Board, more than 540,000 youth have been registered in Sindh, of which 172,000 have secured employment, said Provincial Minister for Universities Muhammad Ismail Rahu.

An important meeting of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resources Board was held under the chairmanship of Sindh’s Minister for Universities, Muhammad Ismail Rahu.

Provincial Minister Ismail Rahu stated that since 2008, 540,758 young people have been registered with the board, of which 422,701 have completed training, while 172,044 have formally entered employment. He added that 41% of the youth trained by the institution are currently employed in various organizations.

Muhammad Ismail Rahu explained that the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resources Board has been active since 2008, and in 2013 it was formally given board status through a bill passed by the Sindh Assembly. The institution provides technical and professional training to young people from both rural and urban areas to enable them to secure respectable employment. He further stated that young people aged 18 to 35 are admitted and taught skills according to modern requirements, with separate quotas allocated for each district to ensure equal opportunities.

Rahu also mentioned that under the Benazir Income Support Program, the Sindh government is providing free training to the children of 5,000 deserving women in various institutions. According to the Minister, each trainee receives a monthly stipend of 2,500 rupees, and encouragingly, the majority of those receiving training are women.
