Pakistan launched Operation Ghazab lil-Haq in response to what officials described as unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban along the border. Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said Pakistani security forces killed 133 militants and injured over 200 others during the operation. Security sources added that several militant posts were destroyed, and Afghan Taliban fighters reportedly raised white flags at some positions following the strikes.

China expressed deep concern over the situation, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stating that Beijing was monitoring developments closely and was willing to play a constructive role in easing tensions.

Russia also urged both countries to immediately halt hostilities and resolve their differences through diplomatic channels. Moscow indicated it would consider mediation if requested by both sides, emphasizing the importance of regional stability.

Iran offered to facilitate dialogue, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressing readiness to assist in promoting understanding and cooperation between the neighboring countries.

Meanwhile, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres voiced deep concern and urged both sides to fulfill their obligations under international law and prioritize civilian protection.

Diplomatic engagement also continued at the bilateral level, as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held discussions with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on regional developments. Both sides emphasized peace and stability in the region.
