Afghan territory cannot be used against Pakistan: CDS

Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, said using Afghan territory for terrorism against Pakistan is unacceptable. He emphasized that all threats from across the border will be neutralized. The statement highlights Pakistan’s commitment to border security and regional stability.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Wana in South Waziristan, where he laid flowers at a martyrs’ memorial. He paid tribute to soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending the country and lauded their courage and dedication.

During the visit, he was briefed on the security situation along the western border and on Operation Ghazb lil Haq. He reviewed operational readiness, visited troops on forward positions, and praised their professionalism, morale, and combat preparedness during ongoing clashes.

He stressed that sustainable peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan is possible only if Afghan Taliban stop supporting terrorism and militant groups. He warned that using Afghan soil for attacks on Pakistan is intolerable and that necessary measures will be taken against such threats.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir expressed full confidence in formations deployed along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. He highlighted their operational coordination, readiness, and high morale, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to defend its sovereignty and security.
