Strict crackdown would be launched against individuals involved in illegal storage of petrol and diesel, it was decided by district administration Shaheed Benazirabad here Sunday. In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Samad Nizamani, issued clear directives stating that no individual or petrol pump owner would be allowed to illegally stock petroleum products. DC said that the district administration would take strict legal action against those found storing petroleum products illegally or selling petrol and diesel at inflated prices. DC said that providing relief to the public and eliminating artificial price hikes remains top priorities of district administration. He said that district administration has established a control room to address public complaints. Citizens can register their complaints regarding petroleum products by contacting the control room at 02449370334. According to Deputy Commissioner, citizens may also lodge complaints with the relevant Assistant Commissioners through their mobile numbers regarding availability of petrol and diesel, hoarding, or overcharging to ensure prompt action.
