Pakistan moved closer to launching 5G services after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority completed the third round of the national spectrum auction. The bidding generated $507 million in revenue from telecom operators. Officials say the move will strengthen digital infrastructure and expand high-speed internet access nationwide.
The auction took place in Islamabad and offered around 600 MHz of spectrum for next-generation mobile services. Three major telecom operators participated in the competitive bidding process.
