Operation Ghazab ul Haq kills 641 Taliban fighters

Published on: March 11, 2026 9:14 PM

Pakistan’s military operation “Operation Ghazab ul Haq” is ongoing against the Afghan Taliban regime. Officials say hundreds of fighters have been killed during the operation. The campaign follows what Pakistan described as unprovoked actions from across the border.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar released updated figures about the operation on Wednesday. He said 641 personnel linked to the Afghan Taliban regime had been killed. More than 855 others were injured during the ongoing operation.

According to the minister, Pakistani forces destroyed 243 checkpoints linked to the Afghan Taliban regime. Security forces also captured and demolished 42 additional positions. The operation aims to weaken militant infrastructure along the border.

Tarar added that air strikes targeted 65 militants and their support locations inside Afghanistan. Pakistani forces also destroyed 219 tanks, armed vehicles and artillery guns during the operation. The strikes were part of efforts to neutralize militant capabilities.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army also targeted an Afghan Taliban post near the border in Shawal, North Waziristan. Security sources said the post was successfully destroyed during the operation. Officials say the operation will continue until all objectives are achieved.
